Cansu Kanışkan is the founder and creative director of CANSUXI. She is a 27-year-old woman whose passion is to draw inspiration from art, nature and history to create something new, adaptable,
sustainable, ethical and long-lasting.

After her fashion studies in Milan and various professional experiences, she moved to Paris to chase bigger dreams. She worked with various fashion brands to gain more practical experience and decided to create her own fashion brand, just like she had always dreamt of, since the beginning of her self-actualization journey. With her 3 friends living all around the world, she overcame challenges and created beautiful memories, as a young entrepreneur who was trying to build a brand during a global pandemic.

As a young woman who was living far away from her hometown, Eskisehir, since she was seventeen - a very critical age of self-exploration - she never stayed put since then. A “chaotic way of living” became the main element of her life. Different people, different cultures, different worlds.

When we initially started this journey, we decided what we wanted to provide for our community as a brand and how we can simplify it in two words. After a long brainstorming process, we decided to call it Liberating Choices; simply because we wanted to create a space for a free mindset, not only with words but also with tangible assets and meaningful functions, eventually creating the idea of a long-lasting wardrobe.

What does Liberating Choices mean for CANSUXI and how do we provide this space? There are three essential factors. Firstly, our fabrics are breathable, adaptable, and natural. They provide the freedom of movement and set you free from the weather restrictions. Secondly, the functional design allows for multiple uses on various occasions. We offer the freedom of choice of style, without sacrificing anything from the aesthetics. And finally, liberating choices is a mental and emotional pathway to reach a personalized sense of fashion, which creates the essential freedom of self-expression.
