Journey – CANSUXI
LIBERATING CHOICE

Our Journey

CANSU XI is a high-end luxury & sustainable Turkish designer brand.

It takes its roots from the sophisticated harmony and cultural connectivity of Mediterranean, Andalusian, Greek and other cultures.

Cansu's main driver in everything she does is the idea of:

LIBERATING CHOICE

She wants to give you the freedom to express yourself and to experiment with our versatile & long-lasting pieces that you can style in any way you like.

For CANSU XI there are three essential factors:

Firstly, our fabrics are breathable, adaptable, and natural. They provide the freedom of movement and set you free from the weather restrictions.

Secondly, the functional design allows for multiple uses on various occasions. We offer the freedom of choice of style, without sacrificing anything from the aesthetics.

And finally, liberating choice is a mental and emotional pathway to reach a personalized sense of fashion, which creates the essential freedom of self-expression. Everyone is invited here. Masculine, feminine, androgynous, or no labels.

Day, night, sunrise, sunset. No need for sharp edges.

"I invite you to explore my story, be a part of it and create your own stories within.”

With love,

Cansu

IMAGINE:

the shimmering sun on vast turquoise seas, the lemons on the table near the beach. Sunset dinners with friends, barefoot walks in the sand...

We are on a journey together, where it is not about who arrives first, but who lasts the longest.

Appreciate who you are. Forget rules. Shake off the expectations. Here it is. Liberate yourself surrounded by the Mediterranean breeze.

Like seeds traveling on the warm sea winds finding root in the Mediterranean coastal areas, our cultures and ideas have spread for millennia.

All pieces come forth from the rich cultural heritage of the Mediterranean as an unparalleled source of beauty.

Find your mojo wearing your CANSU XI, as its best styled with confidence and self-compassion.

OUR FABRICS

We want everyone to have a unique experience, with clothes in which they will feel confident and free. We believe the pieces should just flow on the body, free from external limitations like the occasion, time, or weather.

Our fabric journey began with the purpose of creating striking pieces for the perfect fashion experience. We strive for a mix of everyday elegance, striking details, maximum adaptability, with no pressure and no limits. We worked hard to find the highest quality and most natural fabrics out there.

Our fabrics have been selected with extensive care and intimate evaluation to provide the best experience, adaptability, and longevity for your wardrobe.

Welcome to the Fabric Edition of CANSU XI. Read on to explore the depths of your new wardrobe staples.

VEGAN SILK

We source our materials from Japan where the core element behind our fabrics is produced: Bemberg Yarn. It is materialized from cotton linters, a fiber found in cotton seeds that have traditionally been disposed of.

Our natural fibers are woven into our beautiful vegan silk at the first vegan-labeled fabric producer in the world, located in the Marmara region of Turkiye, known as the heart of textile. Which creates a luxurious, cruelty-free, and earth-friendly alternative to silk fabrics.

Their sustainability initiatives are backed by a number of certificates and programs, including GOTs, OCS, Sedex, BCI certificates and the Blue Balance Sustainability Program. Natural dyes are used, and steps are taken to reduce water consumption.

Vegan silk is produced from recycled cotton or cellulose. It reduces fabric waste, making it eco-friendly. Similar to silk in texture, vegan silk is very flowy and visually appealing. It is perfect for people with allergies or sensitive skin, because unlike acrylic and polyester fabrics, it doesn’t cause irritation.

It is versatile, adapting to all weather conditions. Breathable and comfortable, it's perfect for the summer when temperatures rise, and it regulates body temperature in colder months.

The entire production and collections are certified according to Oeko-tex Standard 100, directly from Testex Switzerland. The recycled Vegan Cupro collection (vegan certified) consists of added value items made with a sustainable approach.

LINEN

The natural fibers of linen were the fabric of choice in the mummification of kings in Ancient Egypt. It’s so strong and long-lasting that mummies found recently still had perfectly intact linen wrappings. It has been used as both a heavy-duty utility fabric and a fine luxury fabric.

Linen is made from the flax plant and is two to three times as strong as silk or cotton. The long fibers of the flax plant have a natural vegetable wax coating, which creates a subtle brightness when woven together in a textile. The flax plant has naturally strong, soft and light fiber, which makes the linen fabric made from these fibers breathable and durable.

Linen might wrinkle easily, and although it can be pressed flat with a hot iron, we think that’s the beauty of it.

VISCOSE

Viscose is often touted as a sustainable alternative to cotton. It's usually what’s used to create those drapey summer dresses, skirts, and soft blouses.

As a plant-based fibre, viscose is not inherently toxic or polluting. It is highly versatile and blends very well with other fibres.

Like the other fabrics we use, it is very breathable, and drapes perfectly. The colour retention is excellent, as it is highly absorbent. It’s a very smooth and light fabric,  it won’t trap your body heat and will make sure your summer days are fresh.

SILK

Silk is the most luxurious and strongest of natural fibers, containing natural proteins. It also contains natural cellular albumen which speeds up the metabolism of skin cells.

Keeping the body heat regulated comes naturally to silk, helping the body retain heat in cold weather while expelling excess heat in warm weather. It’ll be your go-to for breathability and maintaining a comfortable, natural temperature.

Silk is hypoallergenic; it does not attract dust mites and is a natural fungal repellant. Its smooth and soft texture makes it perfect for sensitive skin. And fun fact, sleeping on silk helps reduce hair breakage because it does not conduct static electricity.
